After a decade of playing as a side man and co-leader, Murphy released his debut solo project, “Indigo Jones.” Drawing from many of his musical influences, such as David Bowie, The Beatles, Elton John, Leon Russell, Blind Faith, and the Band, just to name a few. The project was influenced by Murphy’s time living in London, England, and the music and cultural scene overseas. Indigo Jones was a concept album that tells the story of love and loss, heaven and hell, and old and young through the lens of a midnight-riding anti-hero. Murphy wrote and produced the project, featuring Drummer Wayne Salzmann II, Bassist Ryan Erdmann, and his brother Jack Murphy on keyboards. The album was released in May 2023. With a re-master now planned for Nov. 8th, 2024.
