Michael Murphy is a Singer/Songwriter/Producer and Multi-Instrumentalist from Neenah, Wisconsin. Based in the Fox Cities, Murphy has been playing with various bands since he was 11, playing for over ten years with his siblings Jack and David in the band ‘Murphy’s Law.’ He has played alongside artists such as Emmy Winner Mark Wood, WAMI-award-winning drummer Mike Underwood, the HD-Horns, Guitarist Steve Peplin, Drummer Wayne Salzmann II, Singer/Songwriter Claire Kelly, and many other great musicians. As a producer, Murphy has recorded for artists such as jazz singer Lydia Hellevik, Downbeat-Award-winning Lawrence University Jazz Ensemble, Murphy’s Law, and Indie-Rock band “hewitt.”

After a decade of playing as a side man and co-leader, Murphy released his debut solo project, “Indigo Jones.” Drawing from many of his musical influences, such as David Bowie, The Beatles, Elton John, Leon Russell, Blind Faith, and the Band, just to name a few. The project was influenced by Murphy’s time living in London, England, and the music and cultural scene overseas. Indigo Jones was a concept album that tells the story of love and loss, heaven and hell, and old and young through the lens of a midnight-riding anti-hero. Murphy wrote and produced the project, featuring Drummer Wayne Salzmann II, Bassist Ryan Erdmann, and his brother Jack Murphy on keyboards. The album was released in May 2023. With a re-master now planned for Nov. 8th, 2024.
